2nd February 2010 Father Brian died at home on 2nd February aged 71. The Archdiocese of Melbourne is most grateful for his untiring service to the Church of Melbourne. He served as Assistant Priest at the Parishes of West Preston, East Keilor and Blackburn. He also served as Chaplain at RMIT where he assisted with the administration of St Augustine's Parish (Bourke Street Melbourne), and was then appointed Chaplain at the St Vincent's Boys Home, South Melbourne. He was appointed Parish Priest of Bennettswood in 2004. He served the Church in a very postive and pastorally enriching manner, giving fine example to both his brother priests and the community for over 43 years. The funeral Mass for Father Brian is planned to be held at St Scholastica's Church, Bennettswood, on Friday 5th February at 11am.
